Love Island's Niall Aslam has taken a swipe at ITV bosses after revealing he was snubbed from the upcoming Christmas reunion.

The contestant - who quit the show after nine days in the villa - took aim at producers on Instagram and queried whether his invite had got "lost in the post".

His post read: "The postman is really having my pants down, first of all my acceptance letter to Hogwarts didn’t come and now my invite to the Christmas reunion.

"Anyone else been having problems @royalmailofficial."

Alongside the post Niall uploaded the official image of the cast in all their Christmas attire - and jokingly photoshopped himself into the snap.

The post was quickly flooded with comments by fans, who said how sad they were that the hunky star would not be taking part.

His fellow Love Island cast members, including Megan Barton Hanson, Jack Fincham and Alex George, also responded to the joker's post.

Love Island the Christmas Reunion will be on screen on Monday 17th December

Megan posted four crying laughing emojis and "love you" while Jack also posted laughing emojis and "brilliant".

Even Alex Miller, who had a brief romance with Megan in the villa, couldn't understand the original cast member hadn't been included in the line up.

He wrote: "I can understand why some of us got aired but @niallaslam an OG, harsh geez."

One fan wrote: "He was the best one on the show this year!" and another wrote: "Omg noooo it would be so much better with you in it."

Nial shocked fans this year after his shock exit from the show, citing "personal reasons".

However soon after his departure the 23-year-old revealed he had Aspergers Syndrome, which had caused him to struggle in the villa.

The Flack is back for the Love Island Christmas Reunion

Writing to fans in a lengthy Instagram post , after his exit, the reality TV star said: "Right, so here it goes ... for this post I am putting my laying it on thick brush down and hoping to hit the nation with a love potion.

"For far too long I have suffered in silence and not acknowledged a massive fact about my life which going into the villa has led me to finally realise and accept.

"When I was a young child I was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, a fact that until this post has never shared outside of my close family.

"Growing up was extremely difficult for me and I often felt out of place."

Niall is not the only Love Island star who will be absent from the upcoming reunion, as Rosie Williams, Jack Fowler and Josh Denzel also not set to appear.
