BORDER PATROL-HUMANITARIAN AID

PHOENIX — Some Border Patrol agents have slashed and emptied water bottles placed at a remote desert camp by a humanitarian group, putting the travelers’ lives in danger, the organization says. A spokesman for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which oversees the agents, says it does not condone such actions and will investigate any complaints against its officers. By Anita Snow.
